Md. man charged with multiple child pornography crimes

Angel G. Arroyo-Angelino, 30, Easton, MD

The Easton Police Department (EPD) concluded a multi-month long child pornography investigation with the arrest of an Easton man on Tuesday.

According to the report Angel G. Arroyo has been arrested after EPD began investigating the 30-year-old after receiving a tip about an internet user downloading images of child pornography online.  Further investigation into the claims revealed that Arroyo was reportedly soliciting girls under the age of 16 for personal nude images, videos, and sex.

Authorities say they were able to obtain a search and seizure warrant for Arroyo’s residence and as they conducted the search on September 11 officers identified Arroyo as the suspect involved in the investigation.

Members of the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, and Talbot County Sheriff’s Office assisted EPD execute the warrant and arrested Arroyo without incident.

Arroyo has been charged with two counts each of sexual solicitation of a minor, child pornography solicitation, and child pornography permit subject as well as three counts of possesion of child pornography as a result of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.

Investigators say Arroyo was taken before a Talbot County District Court Commissioner and held at the Talbot County Detention Center on no bond. The investigation is on-going and additional charges may be possible at a later date.
