Man arrested following assault of a probation officer

DOVER, De. – A man has been arrested after he fled from and assaulted a probation officer at the 100 Block of S. New Street, in Dover.

The Dover Police Department and Delaware Probation and Parole were working to arrest 30-year-old Brad Kimble, who was wanted on a probation violation. After Kimble fled from officers on foot, he continued to be combative, resulting in a probation officer suffering a busted lip that required stitches.

Kimble was charged with violation of probation, 2nd degree assault of a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest with force/violence. He was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of a $12,000 cash bond.
