Maycee Collison netted both goals for Lake in the win in what was a defensive battle in the early stages. The Spartans were knocking on the door multiple times but managed just one goal in the first half.

After Collison tallied her second goal, Milford took control of the possession battle toward the end of the second half. Despite some great scoring chances, the Bucs couldn’t find the back of the cage.

With the win, the Spartans move to 3-1-1 on the season. Lake Forest will have their next matchup at home where they will take on Woodbridge Oct. 2 at 4:00 p.m.
