Fiddler’s Convention returns to downtown Berlin

BERLIN, Md. – Friday night was the first night of the annual Fiddler’s Convention, and already the streets in downtown were packed.

Hundreds of people brought their lawn chairs to listen to some of the best fiddler players from around the area.

Saturday is the big day for competitions, with thousands of dollars are on the line for banjo, fiddle, band and more.

The event is on through Sunday in downtown Berlin.

Headlining entertainers include the Only Lonesome, last year’s winning band Psycho Exploding Orangutans, and award-winning flatpicker Rebecca Frazier.
