Dover Police to hold upcoming emergency response exercise

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is planning an emergency response exercise that is set to take place next week.

This exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, October 3rd, from 6 AM to 10 AM, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. The purpose of this is to test the abilities of Dover PD, Bayhealth, and several other participating agencies in the event of a real emergency.

Participants will also have the chance to become more educated about resources available through each individual agency in the event of an emergency, and talk about ways to improve responses to those incidents.

Area traffic should not be disrupted during this event. There will be a significant number of emergency vehicles, equipment, and personnel on site, but the public should not be alarmed since this is simply a training exercise.
