Dover man arrested following unlawful sexual assault investigation

HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police have arrested a Dover man following an investigation into a report of unlawful sexual contact.

Officials say a complaint was filed with Felton Police and Delaware State Police (DSP) in April of this year, regarding a possible sexual assault . Police began investigating and determined that the reported sexual assault took place at the Royal Farms in Harrington sometime in December 2017.

After the case was turned over to Harrington Police, detectives found that 32-year-old Eric. A Ellis, of Harrington, reportedly touched a 14 year old in a sexual manner on one occasion in late 2017.

Ellis turned himself in to the Harrington Police Department on September 25th and was charged with one count of unlawful sexual contact second degree with person less than 18 years old.

He was arraigned and later released on $3,000 unsecured bond.
