Delmar shuts out Indian River to stay undefeated
Delmar defeated Indian River 56-0 to move to 4-0 on the season, the last remaining undefeated team in the Henlopen. The loss drops IR to 1-3.
It was all Delmar from the start of this one with the Wildcats scoring 28 points in the first quarter.
Delmar would get touchdowns from six different players including one from both of the Dennard brothers, two from Senior QB Aj Angello, an 11 yard rushing score from Dante Trader, and another from Junior Runningback Ni’Juier Gaines all in the first half.
In the second half, Delmar would extend their lead some more with a second touchdown from Gaines then finally a 66 yard touchdown run from Rajay Allen to bring the final score to 56.
Delmar will look to extend their win streak to 5-0 when they travel to Arcadia high to take on the Firebirds next Friday at 7 p.m. Indian River will look to get their second win of the season when they host Lake Forest next Friday also at 7 p.m.
