Del. men arrested in connection with recovery of a stolen vehicle

DOVER, Del. – Two Dover men are facing felony charges after authorities say the men were involved in a pursuit, which involved a stolen vehicle that was missing its bumper.
Delaware State Police say on Monday, just after 3:10 PM, troopers were dispatched to Royal Farms, on Fast Landing Road, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Once on scene, troopers say they noticed a Hyundai Accent in the parking lot and a check of the license plate revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen. Police say a vehicle pursuit began when the vehicle proceeded to exit the parking lot.
According to the report, the vehicle struck a curb while traveling on Twin Oaks Road and it then became disabled. Authorities report that the driver and the passenger then exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Law enforcement reports that 22-year-old Zemondra Jackson was arrested without incident. According to the report, the Dover Police Department assisted DSP in searching for the driver, 22-year-old Deandre Bennett. Troopers say Bennett was located behind a shed at a residence on the corner of Mckee Road and Rose Bowl Road.
Bennett was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property (felony), disregarding a police officer signal (felony), conspiracy second degree (felony), resisting arrest, reckless driving, and driving without a valid license. He was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $3,650 secured bond.
Jackson was charged with receiving stolen property (felony), conspiracy second degree (felony), and resisting arrest. He was turned over to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $2,500 secured bond.
