Crisfield Teacher of the Year awarded with new car

CRISFIELD, Md. – One Crisfield teacher got the surprise of a lifetime on Tuesday.

Dr. Richard Warren Junior was recently awarded Crisfield’s “Teacher of the Year” due to his dedication to his students and all his hard work over the past year.

To celebrate Dr. Warren, the school partnered up with Hetrich Toyota of Pocomoke to provide Dr. Warren with a brand new car and students got to watch the whole thing.

It’s a surprise that brought Warren to tears.

Richard Warren said, “Just for people to honor educators the way they just honored me is amazing. Our teachers do so much for our kids and it’s good to know that it’s being recognized at this great of a level so I’m just overwhelmingly excited amazing and I’m just so grateful right now.”

Dr. Warren is in the running for best teacher in the State of Maryland.
