Cambridge Marketplace continues to run smoothly
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Plans continue to run smoothly at the Cambridge Marketplace. Despite a period of rain and storms, the project is still on track.
Currently, construction is underway for Starbucks. For all you coffee lovers, the chain should be opening up Mid-October. Once that is complete, the lot between Taco Bell and Starbucks is where the new Chick-Fil-A will pop up.
There were some rumors and concerns if it was coming or not, but it is confirmed that it will be opening up shop. And once the Chick-Fil-A project is done, the new medical center will start construction.
Dorchester County’s Economic Development Director, Jeff Trice says the Cambridge Marketplace project is a way to get the city re-energized, “It’s created this positive energy that we went from inaction to action and people are seeing that. It got people really thinking and paying to attention to what’s happening in Cambridge and Dorchester County.”
Cambridge Marketplace is set to open in 2022. But in the mean time before the entire marketplace is fully open, the plaza will open up on Halloween to set off fireworks for trick-or-treaters.
