Bethany Beach visitors celebrate Labor Day traditions

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – Before getting back to the grind, Labor Day is a chance to go out and enjoy one last weekend of summer.
“It’s always nice to have a day off with my kiddos because being a mom and working full-time is a lot, so it’s fun for me to have the extra day off,” said Megan O’Connor.
People from all walks of life visit Bethany Beach before the chilly weather officially kicks in. Some of them saying it’s become a tradition.
“We are visiting from Pennsylvania,” said Amy Hollister.
“We’ve had a place down here now for over 20 years, but with my father and my mother,” said Hollister.
Without giving a second thought, students are also hanging out and soaking up the sun before getting back to back to their books.
“We come out here every year just to come play at the beach and hangout,” said Charles Blundell.
“Just planning to wrap it up one good last ride in the waves and one last bike ride,” said Blundell.
