Annual Dock Day on the Bay returns to Crisfield

CRISFIELD, Md. – A local maritime heritage festival is making its way back to Crisfield.
Dock Day on the Bay will feature many educational demonstrations, such as crab picking, oyster shucking and tonging, crab pot pulling and construction, chicken necking, nautical knot tying, and much more. Free activities for children, including art projects and games, will also be offered. In addition, admission to the J. Millard Tawes Museum will be free on Dock Day and will include a photography exhibit featuring local seafood workers.
Fantastic local food will be offered on site, including crab cakes, soft crabs, tuna steak sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, cold beer, and treats from Mr. Frosty. The CAHS Marching Band, Meghan Brittingham, and Rukie Dize will provide entertainment for the event.
Dock Day on the Bay will take place at the Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield on Saturday, September 29th, from 11 AM to 3 PM. This family-friendly event is free to the public. If you would like more information on the festival, click here.
