14th annual “Walk to Remember” planned for October 14th
LEWES, Del. – An annual event recognizing pregnancy loss is returning to Delaware on October 14th.
Beebe Healthcare Perinatal Loss Support Services will once again sponsor the “Walk to Remember” in Lewes. Entering its 14th year, the walk allows parents, friends, families, and other supporters a chance to remember babies who have died either during pregnancy or after birth.
This walk commemorates Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, which falls in October.
Those wishing to participate can either pre-register online or onsite the day of the walk. On-site registration begins at 1:30 PM, with the walk set to begin at 2 PM.
Participants should meet at the Blockhouse Pond Pavilion prior to the half mile walk. At the end of the walk, a short memorial service will be held to honor the memory of babies lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, tubal pregnancy, neonatal, and infant death.
If you would like more information about the walk, to pre-register, or provide contributions, you are asked to contact either Barbara Rogers or Terri Wyatt at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at 302-645-3251.
