Woman injured after Del. shooting; investigation ongoing
DOVER, Del. – A shooting remains under investigation after police say a woman was injured as a result of the Dover incident.
The Dover Police Department says on Tuesday, just before 9:40 PM, a 45-year-old woman was with a group of people in the area of Reed Street and New Street, when an unknown person began firing a gun in the area. Police say the woman was hit in the left arm as the subjects fled.
According to law enforcement, the victim was taken by an unknown person to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, where she was being treated for a non-life threatening injury. Officers report that an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in the area was also struck by a single shot.
This incident remains under investigation by Dover PD.
