UPDATE: Officials: Arrest made in connection with investigation of Family Dollar fire

SEAFORD, Del.  – A teen is facing felony charges after authorities say the arrest was made in connection with a Seaford arson investigation.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal says on Wednesday, a 16-year-old was arrested in connection with an arson investigation.  Authorities say arson was the cause of Monday’s fire at the Family Dollar store, on E. Stein Highway. Officials report that the fire resulted in $3 Million in estimated damages.

According to the report, the juvenile was charged with one count of arson first degree and four counts of reckless endangering first degree.

Officials say the teen was taken to Family Court and released to his parent on $14,000 unsecured bond.

This incident remains under investigation.
