Stinky Beach visitors celebrate changes coming to parking

OCEAN CITY, Md. – If you have recently visited Stinky Beach, chances are, you probably ran into some issues with parking.
Worcester County Commissioners recently approved some new parking enforcement efforts at the beach in the hopes of relieving some local resident’s headaches.
They voted to add more lines and signage to the parking area at the entrance to Homer Gudelsky Park, also known as Stinky Beach.
Frequent visitors of Stinky Beach told 47ABC they understand the need for the new enforcement and think it’s a great idea.
Mick Taylor, a frequent visitor of Stinky Beach said, “Obviously it’s never quite clear where you can park. People pull into other people’s driveways and it causes a lot of frustration.”
Valerie Frizzell, another visitor added, “I feel like the lines would definitely help.”
Until these new parking enforcements are added, officials ask that you try to respect the residents who live at Stinky Beach, and avoid their driveways, and mailboxes.
