Police investigating drive-by shooting in Dover

Delaware State Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened late Friday night.

Police report a 49 year-old male was shot in his upper torso when an unknown number of suspects drove by his house firing multiple gun shots as he was standing in his driveway with his wife. 

Police responded to the scene at the 1300 block of Rose Valley School Road where they found the victim laying in his driveway. 

Authorities say EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for his injuries at this time.   

The incident occurred on Friday, August 17, 2018 at approximately 11:39 pm.
