Police: Child injured on go kart in Ocean City

A girl was taken to a local hospital after police say she was injured on a go kart on Tuesday afternoon.

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The Ocean City Police Department says around 2:30 PM, officers and Ocean City EMS were called to Speed World after a person was injured on a go kart. Police say an 11-year-old girl suffered an injury.

Authorities report that she was conscious, alert and breathing at the scene.

The extent of the child’s injuries are unknown at this time. She was taken from the scene to Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
