Police arrest Delaware man in connection with burglaries

Delaware State Police have arrested and charged a Frankford man in connection with a burglary and attempted burglary.

Police say that just before 11:30 AM Friday, Troopers were called to the 57000 block of  Lizzard Hill Road for a possible burglary. 

A witness told responding officers that someone had attempted to enter the front door of the residence and fled on a blue beach cruiser style bike. That same witness also gave a full description of that person to police.

While searching the area, police came across 30-year-old Cody L. Daisey riding a bicycle on Central Avenue and Old Cemetery Church Road.
When Daisey saw the officers he began to flee.

After a brief pursuit Daisey was taken into custody without incident.  
Troopers say they also found a socket wrench and drug paraphernalia on him 

Police also say that on December 13th 2016,  Daisy allegedly entered a residence on the 35000 block of Bayard Road, Frankford, through an unsecured door.  No items were taken during this incident.

Daisey now faces a number of charges including Burglary 2nd Degree, Attempted Burglary and Resisting Arrest.

Daisey was released after posting $26,500.00 secured bond.
