Man charged in connection with Del. sexual assault investigation
GEORGETOWN, Del. – A Delaware man was arrested after police say he was involved in a sexual assault.
Delaware State Police say on Wednesday, 22-year-old Clay Conaway was arrested in connection with a sexual assault investigation. Troopers say a woman reported that on June 20, she was sexually assaulted at a Georgetown residence. Law enforcement later identified Conaway as the suspect.
According to authorities, Conaway was arrested and taken to Troop 4 on a warrant stemming from an August 20 indictment for rape in the first degree.
The Georgetown man was turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $70,000 secured bond.
