Jellyfish Festival in search for high profile acts to come to OC

OCEAN CITY, Md. – A major concert series is set for next summer in Ocean City.

It’s called the Jellyfish Festival and will have several concerts along with extreme sports, entertainment, and more.

They will have multiple venues but the main stage will be at the beach.

Right now, promoters are trying to get their hands on high profile acts after getting the go ahead to from the town council to spend up to 190-thousand dollars on entertainment.

But with those investments, the town expects a return with an economic impact. “You’re talking about $6 million probably and that’s just in the initial stages, so we hope this is a long term commitment, that Jellyfish is here in 2019 and many years to come,” Mayor Rick Meehan says.

We’re told the festival was brought to the council in hopes to bring something similar to the “Dew Tour” that used to come to Ocean City.

The festival should take place in June.
