Hotel room search results in drug charges for Del. man

DOVER, Del.  – A man was arrested after police say drugs and thousands of dollars in drug money was found in a Delaware hotel room.

The Dover Police Department says on Tuesday, around 4:55 PM, officers and the Delaware Probation and Parole encountered 45-year-old Willie Hale at a room in the Red Roof Inn, on N. DuPont Highway. Police say a search of the room revealed 222 grams of MDMA, 56.7 grams of crack cocaine, morphine pills, oxycodone Pills, drug paraphernalia, 3.4 grams of marijuana, and $9,405 in drug money.

According to the report, Hale was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver mdma, possession with intent to deliver crack-cocaine, possession of mdma (tier 5), possession of crack-cocaine (tier 5), possession of a controlled substance (2x), drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

The Frederica man was turned over to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $80,200 bond.
