Closures to expect as the National Folk Festival

The National Folk Festival is attracting over 60,000 people to Salisbury and with that many set to come to the crossroads of Delmarva, the city has a lot of work to do. 

On Wednesday, the city starting putting up signs for the first closure on August 22. 

Laura Soper, the Salisbury's Director of Business Development says, "The first lot closure will be Lot 16, which is a small permitted lot along the river. We're going to have yard signs, there are going to be signs at each entrance, we reached out to all the permit holders there."

Lot 16 is the hub of their technical and operations team. From there, Lot 30 and Lot 1 will close up the week after. And as we creep closer to the event, we'll see more shutdowns the week of.

For specific dates:

N Division Street from Rt 50 to Main will close 9/4/18 at 5 PM. 
W Market Street from Circle to Camden will close 9/5/18 at 8 AM.
E Main Street from N Division to Court will close 9/6/18 at 6 AM.

As Salisbury hunkers down for this upcoming event, they just want to make sure residents and businesses are prepared but excited as well.
