UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Millsboro crash

Authorities have identified the chief of a Maryland fire company as the victim who died after a Millsboro crash.
Delaware State Police say 66-year-old David J. Barry was identified as the victim of the crash that happened on Millsboro Highway (SR 24) at the intersection of Nine Foot Road (SR 26). The Allen Volunteer Fire Company confirms to 47ABC that Barry is the company's Fire Chief. Officials say Barry served in the position for 3 years.
According to the report, on Sunday, a 48-year-old Laurel woman driving a a 2011 Nissan Murano turned left onto Nine Foot Road, right into the path of a BMW convertible being driven by the Edne man. As a result of the collision, the vehicles rotated in opposition directions before coming to a stop.
Authorities say the laurel woman was wearing a seatbelt and Barry was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
the 66-year-old was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The two-vehicle crash remains under investigation by the DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit.
