UPDATE: Two injured in Millsboro crash; investigation ongoing

Delaware State Police continue to investigate a serious crash that injured two people Tuesday morning. 

Police say that just after 8:00 AM, a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 32-year-old Salisbury man was traveling eastbound on Cross Keys Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Phillips Hill Road.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 41-year old Millsboro man was traveling northbound on Phillips Hill Road. As a result, the front of Silverado struck the right side of the Cherokee. 

Both drivers were not properly restrained and were taken to nearby hospitals. We are told that the driver of the Cherokee had critical injuries and the driver of the Silverado had minor injuries

The roads were closed for 3 hours as police investigated and cleared the scene.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.

A Millsboro intersection is shut down after troopers say a two-vehicle crash happened on Tuesday morning.

Delaware State Police reports that troopers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on on Phillips Hill Road at Cross Keys Road. Authorities are currently on the scene, in Millsboro.

Troopers say the intersection of Phillips Hill Road at Cross Keys Road will be shut down for an extended period of time.

Drivers can expect delays and should find alternate routes of travel.
