Update: Police investigating a fatal hit and run bike crash

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash involving a bicyclist.
Early Saturday morning, a bicyclist was killed after he was struck by a white SUV traveling southbound on the 9000 block of South DuPont Highway (U.S. route 13).
28 year-old William O. Boyer of Felton, Delaware was pronounced dead at the scene after being thrown from his bike while traveling southbound on the shoulder. Investigators say the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet.
The white SUV fled the scene after striking the cyclist and a white bumper was left behind at the crash scene.
The collision was reported by a passing motorist, and there are no known witnesses at the time.
The crash continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
