UPDATE: Details emerge after dogs were seized from Somerset County property

Authorities have released details regarding an investigation after they say 40 dogs were seized from a property in Somerset County.
The Somerset County Sheriff's Office says on Wednesday, 40 German Shepherds, including two puppies, were rescued from JoLindy's German Shepherds, on Hayward Road. Authorities say Animal Control received a tip after a customer went to the home to look at buying a dog, but was concerned about the conditions. Officials say the breeder did not have a license for a kennel.

According to the report, a search warrant was conducted around 1:00 PM, and law enforcement found cages with feces piled up high inside them. It reportedly took three hours to get all the dogs out of the home. They are now in the care of Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset County Humane societies.
This is an ongoing investigation.
On Thursday, Somerset County Dog Control says they accepting donations of bleach, dry dog food, treats, and fabuloso cleaner (purple) in response to the ongoing investigation. Officials say donations can be dropped off at Somerset Regional Animal Hospital in Princess Anne and Pocomoke Animal Hospital or Somerset County Dog Control shelter, in Westover.
Donations can be dropped off only on weekdays between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
