Two charged in connection with fraud investigation in Del.

Two people were arrested after police say they tried to cash a forged check at a Delaware bank.
The Harrington Police Department says on July 25, 23-year-old Alexandria Morse, of Georgetown, and 24-year Michael Morris, of Harrington, were arrested in connection with a fraud investigation. While on patrol just before 5:00 PM, police say they were called to the WSFS Bank, on Commerce Street, for a report of a fraud. Police say they were told that there was a subject inside the bank attempting to cash a forged check.
According to the report, Morse was inside the bank attempting v called police. Authorities say the 23-year-old was arrested and Morris was taken into custody when he arrived back at the bank to pick up Morse. During a search of Morris' vehicle, police say they located a bag containing several stolen checks from several different victims.
Law enforcement reports that a computer check also revealed that the Harrington man had a capias issued by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for a trial and Kent County Superior Court for violation of probation.
Morse was charged with forgery second degree, conspiracy second degree and attempted theft under $1,500. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
Morris was charged with with theft over $1,500, forgery second degree, conspiracy second degree and attempted theft under $1,500. He was issued a $7,000 secured bail for the criminal charges and a $7,000 cash only bail for the capias and violation of probation.
The 24-year-old was then turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of bond.
