Three men were arrested after deputies say two of them helped a man evade authorities following a Wicomico County crash.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Monday, around 1:05 AM,  deputies responded to a reported crash on Log Cabin Road in the area of Memory Garden Lane in Hebron. Once on scene, deputies discovered that the driver later identified as 31-year-old Irvin Lee Bonneville III had left the scene. Authorities say the 31-year-old had stolen the vehicle prior to the crash and he had a Circuit Court bench warrant for a felony theft case.

According to the report, during the search for Bonneville III, a vehicle was seen leaving an adjacent neighborhood, accelerating at a high speed. Law enforcement says they managed to catch up with he vehicle and stop it. Authorities report that Bonneville III was located in the back passenger seat. Deputies say he was then arrested on the outstanding warrant and for stealing the vehicle and then leaving the scene of the accident.

After further investigation, law enforcement learned that Bonneville III's father, 59-year-old Irvin Lee Bonneville Jr., was the passenger in the vehicle driven by 32-year-old Christopher Martinez Bacon in which Bonneville III was located. WCSO says both Bacon and Bonneville Jr. were arrested for assisting the 31-year-old Mardela Springs man with trying to elude detection by law enforcement.

After an initial appearance with the District Court Commissioner, all three individuals were released on unsecured bonds. Authorities say Bonneville III was then detained without bond on the outstanding warrant.

The 59-year-old Mardela Springs man and the 32-year-old Salisbury man were charged with obstruct and hinder.

Bonneville III was charged with motor vehicle theft, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving suspended.
