Police: Several items stolen from Del. home; burglary investigation ongoing

A burglary investigation is underway after police say the suspects stole items and they may have stayed at the Dover home while the family was away.
The Dover Police Department says between June 29 and July 8, a residential burglary happened in the unit block of Willis Road while a family was away. Police say unknown suspects entered the home through an unsecured back window. While inside the home, officers say the suspects took money, shoes, and clothing.
According to authorities, several items were damaged in the home and it appears that the suspects may have stayed there while the family was gone.
This incident remains under investigation.
