Police: Cocaine found in Paw Patrol bag; three arrested in Del.

Three men were arrested after police say they resisted arrest and drugs were discovered at a Laurel residence. Troopers say they were initially conducting a warrant attempt for one individual.

Delaware State Police say on Monday around 9:35 PM, members of the Sussex County Governor's Task Force (GTF) responded to the 29000 block of Discount Land Road to conduct a warrant attempt for 42-year-old Richie Hurley. Troopers say Hurley is a level 3 probation absconder and was wanted on a capias from Superior Court for failure to appear for drug court. As an officer began to approach the side door of the residence, troopers say 23-year-old Dwayne Hurley, of Bridgeville, exited the residence and suddenly turned away. He reportedly ran back inside when he discovered the police presence.

According to the report, a brief chase then began and officers were able to take Dwayne Hurley into custody inside the residence. Police say a search of the 23-year-old's person revealed he was in possession of cocaine. Ritchie Hurley was found inside the home and was arrested without incident due to his wanted status. Authorities report that a search of the 42-year-old revealed he was in possession of a large amount of suspected drug money.

While inside the residence, officers say they noticed drug paraphernalia and a children's "Paw Patrol" bag. After opening the bag, police say they discovered a large quantity of cocaine as well as other narcotics and drug paraphernalia. While the rest of the residence for additional individuals, troopers say they then found a 24-year-old Delmar man hiding in the garage. 

DSP reports that the following evidence was seized during the investigation:
Approximately 57.08 grams of cocaine
(31) 15mg Oxycodone pills
(9) .5mg Alprazolam pills
(16) bags of heroin
(2) Suboxone film strips
Approximately 0.08 grams of amphetamine
(2) digital scales
Numerous items of drug storage paraphernalia
Over $1700 in drug money

All three suspects were taken back to Troop 4.

Ritchie Hurley was charged with drug dealing cocaine in a tier 4 quantity, possession of cocaine in a tier 5 quantity, drug dealing oxycodone in a tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance (alprazolam), possession of a controlled substance (suboxone), possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia-(3 counts). He was then turned over to Sussex Correctional Institution on $127,750 cash only bond.

Dwayne Hurley was charged with hindering prosecution, resisting arrest, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $2,000 unsecured bond.

The Delmar man was charged with resisting arrest and was released on $500 unsecured bond.
