One person injured in Dover shooting; investigation ongoing

A shooting remains under investigation after police say a man was injured early Thursday morning, in Dover.
The Dover Police Department says, just after 2:00 AM, officers responded to the area of South Governors Avenue and Reed Street for a report of shots fired. Once on scene, police learned that a 22-year-old man had been taken by private vehicle to Kent General Hospital.
According to the report, the man sustained a single gunshot wound to the his right arm as a result of the shooting. The injury is not life threatening.
This incident remains under investigation.
