Officer involved crash remains under investigation in Delaware

A crash remains under investigation after authorities say a police officer was involved in the Delaware incident.

The Ocean View Police Department says on Saturday, an on-duty Ocean View police officer driving an Ocean View PD vehicle was involved in a crash with another vehicle. Police say the crash happened on Central Avenue, north of Atlantic Avenue.

According to the report, both the police officer and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to Beebe hospital where they were treated and released. The cause of the crash is unclear.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
