New law creates tuition assistance program in Delaware

A new law in Delaware could ensure all students have the chance to earn that college degree.
House Bill 326, sponsored by Representative Kim Williams and signed by Governor John Carney, will create the Delaware Advance Scholarship Program.
The program cuts college tuition costs for students with intellectual disabilities.
Delaware officials say that although there are several grants in place already for many families of disabled students, most of them still feel the financial burden of tuition.
Governor John Carney released a statement on the today's signing and says:
"All Delaware students deserve the opportunity to further their education, compete and be successful."
