Man charged with fifth DUI in Del.

A Delaware man is in custody after troopers say he was charged with his fifth DUI offense.

Delaware State Police say on Sunday, around 5:10 PM, troopers were dispatched to John J. Williams Highway and Rosedale Road for a report of a truck in a ditch. Once on scene, troopers say they encountered 65-year-old Earl Antonio, of Millsboro. Law enforcement reports that they noticed an odor of alcohol and initiated a DUI investigation.

According to a computer check, authorities report that Antonio had four previous DUI convictions.

The 65-year-old was arrested and charged with 5th offense driving under the influence of alcohol (felony), driving while suspended or revoked, and other traffic related offenses.

He was turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $6,102 secured bond.
