Man arrested in connection with burglary at Del. business

A man was arrested after police say he was involved in a burglary at a Delaware dry cleaning business.

The Dover Police Department says on Tuesday, just before 1:20 AM, officers responded to Capitol Cleaners, on S. New Street, after receiving an alarm call for the location. While searching the property, police say they noticed unsecured doors to the business and that the cash drawer was missing. 

According to the report, police found 51-year-old James smith at the back of the business with two cash drawers and cash in his possession. 

The Dover man was arrested and charged with burglary third degree, theft under $1,500, and criminal mischief (2x).
