The Delaware State Police have arrested a Lewes man in connection with several burglaries.
Police say that they have been investigating a rash of burglaries, criminal mischiefs, and attempted theft complaints since early July. Troopers were able to identify the suspect as 33-year-old Jacob Capozio.
Police say the burglaries happened at several businesses including:
Waves Car Wash where there was attempted forced entry; twice at Magee's Produce where there was forced entry via the rear door of the business and an undisclosed amount of cash taken; and twice at Carlos Ramos-Sandoval Garage where entry was made and tools and a television were taken.
Troopers say that Capozio is also linked to a number of attempted theft and criminal mischief complaints to vending/soda machines at the Tanger Outlet Stores.
On Thursday Capozio was taken into custody without incident.
Capozio was charged with five counts of Burglary Third Degree along with criminal mischief, attempted theft, and theft among other charges.
