Grants-in-aid restoration helps Delaware senior service centers

A number of Delaware senior service centers that were hit hard last year by budget cuts will finally be getting some relief.
Under House Bill 460 passed by the state legislature, places like CAMP Rehoboth and Meals on Wheels will have their funding restored to levels that existed prior to the difficult cuts of 2017.
According to the Director of the Meals on Wheels of Lewes and Rehoboth, the new funding allows them to expand administration to provide a better quality of service for those in need.
"Where most of our grant money is specific to the meals, this you can use for administrative, and it's so important because that kind of money is hard to come by," said the Meals on Wheels of Lewes and Rehoboth Director Kathleen Keuski.
Keuski said the Meals on Wheels of Lewes and Rehoboth is expected to receive more than 140,000 dollars as a result of the bill's passage.
