Governor’s Agriculture Hall of Fame recognizes hard-working farmers on the Eastern Shore

Farmers on the Eastern Shore have a chance to be recognized for all their hard work throughout the year.
The Maryland Department of Agriculture is now accepting nominations for the Governor's Agriculture Hall of Fame.
The award is based on standards of conduct; personal values; contributions to their community; and performance, leadership, innovation, and achievement in agriculture.
Any farm family is eligible for the award and one per county will be considered.
You can submit nominations all they way up until October 6th. Those selected for induction will be invited to the Taste of Maryland Agriculture event on February 7, 2019.
To get started all you need to do is contact your county Cooperative Extension Office to put together an application.
