DSP: Seaford man wanted on burglary and motor vehicle theft charges

Police are searching for a suspect after they say he is wanted in connection with a burglary that happened at a Delaware business.

Delaware State Police say 51-year-old Christopher T. Steimling is wanted in connection to a burglary that happened at Ed's Auto Center, on Masters Way, in Seaford. Police say between June 16 at 2:00 PM and June 18 at 7:30 AM, the suspect forced entry into the business and gained access to a set of keys to a 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up truck. Troopers say the suspect then made of with the truck that was parked in the parking lot. The vehicle has since been recovered.

According to the report, Steimling was identified as the suspect through various investigative measures. Authorities say warrants are currently on file charging the 51-year-old Seaford man one count of each of the following charges: burglary third degree, theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $1,500, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief under $1,000.

Law enforcement reports that Steimling is known to frequent the areas of Seaford, Delaware and Marydel, Maryland.
