Del. man convicted in Wicomico Co. child sex abuse case

A man awaits sentencing after he was convicted for his role in the sexual abuse of a young child in Wicomico County. 

The Office of the State's Attorney for Wicomico County says on July 13, a jury convicted 31-year-old Bruce Bilal Anding, of Delaware, of sexual abuse of a minor and three counts of sexual offense in the third degree. The charges stem from an September 2017 incident.

Authorities say incident involved a child under the age of eight at the time of occurrence. Anding was apparently present in the home of the child.

Sentencing has been delayed pending the completion of a sex offender evaluation.

The Delaware man will be required to register as a tier III sex offender for life.

According to authorities, the charges are felonies and carry possible maximum sentences of 25 years for sexual abuse of a minor and 10 years each for the third degree sex offenses.
