City seeks volunteers for upcoming Folk Festival

The Folk Festival is fast-approaching and the City of Salisbury is ramping up its recruitment of volunteers.
As of now, the city has about 400 volunteers registered, but they need 400 more, and they need everyone to sign up for specific jobs throughout the three day affair.
Jobs include back stage assistants, audio loggers, water and beverage sales, and more.
"It isn't just a Salisbury thing. This is a Maryland festival. So Salisbury is not the only part of this festival. We're looking at our partners in Ocean City, in Easton, in Cambridge, over the bridge, in Somerset, in Worcester and Talbot and all over the place," said Caroline O'Hare, an official with the festival.
The city also needs to raise $250,000 to reach its $1.3 million goal. If you are interested in volunteering you can log on to ShoreGetConnected.org, or visit the Downtown Salisbury Visitor Center. There are also sponsorships available at the Folk Festival website.
