Delaware health officials are issuing a boil advisory for customers of two water companies after testing positive for E-coli.
Broadkill Beach Water Company and PrimeHook Water Company both tested positive for the bacteria today.
Residents are advised to boil their water or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
The well and the distribution system are currently being disinfected and flushed.
Health officials will alert the water system operator when bacteria is no longer present and it is safe to drink.
