UPDATE: Victim identified after fatal crash involving Del. State Trooper

A victim of a fatal crash involving a Delaware State Trooper has been identified after troopers say the incident happened while they were were searching for a burglary suspect over the weekend.
On Monday, Delaware State Police say the victim was identified as 32-year-old Richard Talbot, of Milton. The incident happened on Saturday, just after 12:20 PM, in Milton.
The crash remains under investigation by the DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit. Authorities say the trooper involved in the incident has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a car crash involving a Delaware State Trooper Saturday that left one man dead.
According to police, the accident took place at approximately 12:22 PM, south of Milton.
Reports say Delaware State Police Troop 7 were searching for a burglary suspect in the area of Lazy Lake and Hunters Mill Estates communities Saturday.
The suspect was described as a thin white male in his 20s or 30s on a bicycle.
A trooper was traveling northbound on Fisher Road when he spotted a man riding a bicycle southbound matching the suspect's description.
The trooper then turned around and turned on his emergency lights in an effort to stop the man.
The 32-year-old man refused to comply, which led to a pursuit, ending in the deadly collision.
The suspect was taken to Beebe Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
According to police, the trooper was not injured in the accident and has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
