Family still looking for missing retired police K-9; needs community’s help

In Federalsburg, a family is still desperately looking to find their retired police K-9 Bart.

Bart was retired corporal Dan Franklin's partner for more than nine years and he says that Bart is like one of his children. The family says Bart was last seen in the Possum Hill Rd and Iron Gate Rd area on Friday, May 24th, around 3:30 PM. Bart and the family's black lab got out of their fenced yard. The black lab was found but Bart is still missing. He's 12-years-old and was last seen wearing a black leather collar with tags on it.

"The community support has been absolutely unbelievable we've had people we don't even know who have been riding around the area trying to see if they can get a look at Bart, or who are trying to see him I should say we've had help from the volunteer fire company in Federalsburg we've had help from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office we've just had a tremendous outpouring of support," said retired corporal Dan Franklin.
