UPDATE: Victims identified in Hartly death investigation

Authorities have identified the deceased individuals as an elderly married couple, in Delaware.

On Wednesday, Delaware State Police say the two victims found dead in a Hartly home were identified as 87-year-old John James and his 81-year-old wife, Mary James. Troopers say the couple was found deceased on Tuesday at their Arthursville Road home. Law enforcement  initially responded to the area on Tuesday Morning for a welfare check.

According to DSP, the bodies were turned over to the Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the manner and cause of death.

The suspected murder-suicide remains under investigation by the DSP Homicide Unit.
