UPDATE: Pedestrian dies after train crash in Georgetown

Police in Georgetown say a pedestrian has died after being hit by a train Tuesday night.

Authorities say the incident happened around 8:40 PM in the area of Douglas Street, in Georgetown. Investigators aren't releasing much information about the crash at this time. 

According to the report, the pedestrian has been identified, but police are withholding the identity until they notify next of kin. They say no other injuries were reported.

 This incident remains under investigation by Georgetown PD, who reports that at this time no charges are expected.
