UPDATE: One arrested in connection to Del. homicide investigation; victim identified

A man is in custody after troopers say he was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Bridgeville man.

Delaware State Police say on Monday, 28-year-old Mcarthur Risper Jr., of Bridgeville, turned himself in to DSP Troop 5. Troopers say Risper was sought in connection to a shooting that happened in the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive, on Friday.

According to the report, authorities were dispatched to that location where they found 41-Corey Bailey, of Bridgeville, on the side of the road with apparent gunshot wounds. Police say Bailey was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Law enforcement says Risper Jr. is charged with murder first degree, conspiracy first degree, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was later committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a 1,045,000 secured bond.

This incident remains under investigation by the DSP Homicide Unit.
