Police: Cocaine and heroin found during search in Del.; seven arrested

Seven people were arrested after police say cocaine and heroin were found during a search in Delaware.

The Laurel Police Department says on Thursday, the Delaware State Police Governor's Task Force and the Delaware Probation & Parole Office assisted in executing two search warrants on West 6th Street, in Laurel. Police say the search resulted in the seizure of 42.4 grams of crack cocaine, 98.1 grams of powder cocaine and 18.94 grams of heroin packaged for sale. Officers report that 31-year-old Nevell Jones, of Laurel, was the target of the investigation.

According to the report, while officers attempted to secured the scene, 33-year-old Catrina Johnson became disorderly and refused to comply with the officers' orders.The Salisbury woman was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and offensively touching a law enforcement officer. Authorities say she was issued a $3,000 unsecured bond and released.

Law enforcement reporters that the following individuals were also arrested:
ShaQuea Jones, 20 of Laurel; Dontra Batson, 33 of Laurel; Montra Batson, 33 of Laurel; Angelo Jones, 35 of Laurel; Danielle Thompson, 33 of Laurel

Police say ShaQuea Jones was in possession of marijuana and arrested for possession of marijuana. She was issued a civil violation before she was released. 

Dontra Batson was found to be in possession of of 1.3 grams of powder cocaine, officers report. He was apparently arrested, charged with possession of cocaine, and issued a $3,000 unsecure bond before being released.

Laurel PD says Montra Batson had active arrest warrants. He was arrested and later released on his own recognizance.

Authorities report that Angelo Jones had active arrest warrants. He was arrested and issued a $1,000 secured bond. Police say he was turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institute for failure to post bond.

Thompson was arrested on charges of maintaining a drug property, possession of heroin in tier 5 quantity, possession of crack cocaine in tier 5 quantity, possession of powder cocaine in tier 5 quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $153,000 unsecured bond and released.

Nevell Jones was arrested on charges of possession of heroin in tier 5 quantity, possession of crack cocaine in tier 5 quantity, possession of powder cocaine in tier 5 quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities say the 31-year-old was on level 4 confinement at the time of the search warrant and violated by Probation & Parole. He was issued a $159,200 cash only bond and turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institute
