Police: Child held at gunpoint during Seaford home invasion; suspects sought

A home invasion remains under investigation after police say a suspect held a 5-year-old girl at gunpoint during a home invasion at the Seaford Meadows Apartment complex.
The Seaford Police Department says on Saturday, around 2:45 AM, a 23-year-old woman was upstairs and heard a commotion. Police say a man wearing a mask and armed with a gun confronted the woman and demanded money, before hitting her in the head. Authorities say another suspect then grabbed the victim's 5-year-old daughter and brought her upstairs while holding a gun to the child's head.
According to the report, the suspect told the mother "Tell me where it is or I will shoot her." The victim did not have any money to give the suspects. Officers say the suspects ransacked the home before fleeing.
Law enforcement says the 23-year-old victim was treated by paramedics on the scene for severe trauma to her left eye and the child was not physically harmed.
This incident remains under investigation. At least two suspects were involved in this incident, police say.
Anyone with information related to this home invasion or the suspects is asked to call the Seaford Police Department at 302-629-6644.
